How can I use the Share of Model Agent and Creative Scores?

How to connect your Share of Model workspace to Pencil, ask questions about your brand's perception in plain language, and score your creatives against your brand attributes.

Written by Tim Bowers

What this integration does

Connecting your Share of Model workspace to Pencil unlocks two features:

  • The Share of Model Agent: ask questions in plain language about how AI models perceive a brand, based on the analyses already set up in your Share of Model workspace.

  • Share of Model Creative Scores: score any creative in your Pencil library against your brand's strategic attributes. The score appears alongside your other creative scores in Pencil.

Both features work from your Share of Model workspace. They do not replace the Share of Model tool, where analyses are created and monitoring runs. For the tool and its modules, see What is Share of Model?

What you need

  • An active Share of Model workspace.

  • A Share of Model API token, unique to that workspace.

Your Customer Success Manager can arrange both.

Getting set up

01 Request an API token from your Customer Success Manager.

02 In Pencil, go to Settings > Scores in Pencil > Share of Model.

03 Paste the token and save.

See the setup guide for details and troubleshooting. The full integration between Pencil and Share of Model is rolling out over the coming weeks and will make this setup simpler.

The Share of Model Agent

The Share of Model Agent lets you explore brand perception in a conversation. Ask how AI models describe a brand, which attributes they associate with it, how it compares with competitors, or what changed over time, and the agent answers from your Share of Model data.

The agent works only on analyses already created in Share of Model. It reads and interprets the results of those analyses. It does not set up new tracking or run new monitoring. To cover a new brand, persona, country or set of prompts, create the analysis in the Share of Model tool first; the agent can then answer questions about it.

Creative Scores

A Share of Model score assesses how well a creative reflects your brand's strategic attributes, for example Innovation or Trust, based on how large language models perceive it.

Use it to:

  • validate brand alignment before launch;

  • spot brand cues that are missing or overrepresented;

  • prioritise creative versions for testing;

  • support stakeholder feedback with an objective, LLM-based evaluation.

How it works

01 Request. Open a work or asset in the Ads Editor and pick Share of Model from the score drop-down in the top right.

02 Analysis. A Share of Model scoring analysis runs against that creative.

03 Score. The result comes back to Pencil as a summary with one score per attribute, in the score section alongside your other creative scores. It then appears anywhere in Pencil where creative scores are shown.

04 Full report. The complete analysis lives in the Share of Model interface, linked from the summary in Pencil.

ACTION

TODAY

ONCE FULL INTEGRATION IS LIVE

Asking the Share of Model Agent

1 Pencil generation per run + the Share of Model credits used by the query

2 Pencil generations per run, no separate credits

Requesting a Creative Score

Share of Model workspace credits only, no Pencil generation

To be confirmed

Your Customer Success Manager can top up your Share of Model credits. Once the full integration is live, there is no extra subscription and no separate credit type: usage draws on the generations included in your Pencil subscription.

For how agents and scores consume generations more broadly, see How Are Generations Counted?
